At Atlantic Bone and Joint Centre, we are dedicated to helping patients regain mobility and enjoy a more active, pain-free life. Based at Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital in Cape Town, our practice specialises in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of hip and knee conditions, with a strong focus on personalised patient care.

Led by specialist orthopaedic surgeon Dr Preyen Naidu, our team provides advanced orthopaedic care in a compassionate and supportive environment. We combine clinical expertise, modern surgical techniques, and open communication to ensure every patient feels informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their treatment journey.

We always consider appropriate non-surgical treatment options before recommending surgery. Surgery is recommended only when it is the most appropriate option for your condition and needs.

MORE ABOUT DR NAIDU

Specialised Hip and Knee Care

Atlantic Bone and Joint Centre offers comprehensive orthopaedic services, with particular expertise in:

Our practice is especially focused on hip and knee reconstruction surgery, including complex joint conditions and advanced robotic-assisted procedures designed to improve precision, alignment, and recovery outcomes.

Surgical Philosophy

Dr Naidu performs elective hip replacement surgery using the posterior approach, which he believes allows him to achieve the highest standards of surgical accuracy and long-term outcomes for his patients.

While some surgeons offer minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement surgery, Dr Naidu has chosen not to adopt this technique, as he feels it may compromise the level of precision and exposure required to perform surgery to his exacting standards. He remains committed to discussing all available treatment options openly with patients and addressing any concerns they may have.
